Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, the control power used to close the contactor, and select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Once completed, narrow down the starters to options suitable for your motor and power requirements. Optional criteria include incoming power as either "direct-online starter" if the line power is the same as control power, or "separate control voltage" if different. Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, assuming the line and control voltages are the same. For distinct line and control voltages with remote start terminals, this is termed "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 38A 3-phase separate coil voltage start/stop, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload with NEMA 4X polycarbonate construction.
