Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include incoming power types, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, whereas a "separate control voltage" denotes different control and line voltages. For activation from an external switch, terminals can be added for control power input, referred to as "remote start terminals." The features include a 26A 1-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals for start/stop, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
