These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor's nameplate based on the supplied input voltage, distinguishing whether the motor requires 1-phase or 3-phase power and ensuring the starter is rated for current (amps) exceeding the motor's FLA. Additionally, users must select the control power used to close the contactor and choose an overload that accommodates the motor's FLA.
