Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and pick an overload based on a current range that contains the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter," "separate control voltage," or "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch. The starter features include a 38A three-phase direct online start/stop capability, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 16-20A overload relay, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
