Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capacities up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage and determine if the system is single-phase or three-phase. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. Additionally, choose the control power used to close the contactor and the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria include choosing between direct-on-line or separate control voltage, and the inclusion of remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. Key features include a 38A three-phase separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop functionality with a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 24-29A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
