Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate for the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, and confirm whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power, ensuring the selected starter has a current rating higher than the FLA. Additionally, choose the control power to close the contactor and select an overload with a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The options for the incoming power include a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, remote start terminals for activation from an external switch, or a combination of separate control voltage with remote start terminals. Key features of the motor starter include a 38A 3-phase configuration, separate control voltage, remote start terminals, and a start/stop 24-60V AC/DC coil, along with a 24-29A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
