Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations such as "direct-online starter" for matching line and control power or "separate control voltage" for differing voltages. Remote start terminals can be added for activation from an external switch, with configurations for using separate voltages. Key features include a 38A 1-phase direct online start/stop capability, 100-250V AC/DC coil, and 20-24A overload.
