Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to determine the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must also be chosen, along with selecting an overload that accommodates the motor's FLA. Optional criteria to consider include incoming power types, with "direct-online starter" for identical line and control voltages and "separate control voltage" for differing voltages. If activating the starter from an external switch, remote start terminals can be included, applicable for both identical and differentiated line and control voltages. The key features of the motor starter include a 38A three-phase separate coil voltage, remote start terminals, a reset button, and a coil voltage range of 250-500V AC/DC, with an overload relay range of 29-35A. All components are housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
