Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor should also be chosen, along with the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. The optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where a direct-online starter uses line power as control power, while separate control voltage indicates different line and control voltages. Remote start terminals can be added to accept control power from an external switch. This specific kit includes features such as 38A, 1 phase, remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 29-35A overload relay. The enclosure also complies with NEMA 4X standards.
