Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. Additionally, select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, while a "separate control voltage" indicates different voltages for line and control. For starters that need external activation, terminals for remote start can be added. The features include a 38A 1-phase starter with a separate coil voltage and remote start terminals, capable of start/stop operations with a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload capacity of 24-29A.
