Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with capabilities of up to 60 HP or 80 A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage, ensuring the correct selection of 1-phase or 3-phase power. The starter must be rated for a current higher than the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must be selected, along with the overload, which should fall within a current range that captures the FLA. Optional criteria include incoming power types: a "Direct-online starter" if the line power and control power are the same, "Separate control voltage" if they differ, or "Remote start terminals" for activation via an external switch. If a different voltage for line and control power is needed with remote start terminals, this is designated as "Separate control voltage + remote start terminals." Key features include a 38 A 3-phase separate coil voltage, remote start terminals, a reset button, and compatibility with coil voltages ranging from 250-500 V AC/DC, with an overload rating of 24-29 A.
