Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters rated up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the intended input voltage, confirming whether the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current greater than the FLA. Additional selection criteria involve determining the control power for closing the contactor and selecting the overload with a current range that accommodates the FLA. Optional features include a direct-online starter if line power serves as control power, a separate control voltage if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and remote start terminals for activating the starter from an external switch. The specific starter features include 52A 3-phase remote start terminals, start/stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 30-40A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
