Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply and confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor, choosing a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload should be selected based on a current range that contains the motor's FLA. The options include incoming power configurations where the line power can also serve as control power, known as a "direct-online starter," or scenarios involving "separate control voltage." For external activation using a switch, terminals for control power input can be added, resulting in configurations such as "remote start terminals" and "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The specific features include a current rating of 38A, compatibility with 1-phase systems, separate coil voltage and remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated at 29-35A, all housed within a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
