Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your needs, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to confirm the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to check if the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Additionally, specify the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Options for selection include "direct-online starter" if line power is also used as control power, "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, and configurations with "remote start terminals" if activation is via an external switch. The features include a 52A 3-phase separate coil voltage start/stop, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 44-53A, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
