Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, taking into account whether the power is 1 phase or 3 phase. The starter should be rated for a current (amps) higher than the motor's FLA. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select the overload based on a current range that includes the motor's FLA. The options for the starter include configurations for incoming power, with features such as a direct-online starter when the line power is the same as the control power, separate control voltage if they differ, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The kit features a 52A 3 phase separate control voltage with remote start terminals, start/stop capability, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 44-53A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
