Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring the power is either single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA. To narrow down starter options based on incoming power, identify if the line power is used as control power ("direct-on-line starter") or if control voltage differs from line voltage ("separate control voltage"). For activation via an external switch, terminals can be added for control power input ("remote start terminals"). The features of the motor starters include 52A 3-phase direct online with a reset button, a coil range of 100-250V AC/DC, and an overload range of 36-47A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
