Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply and confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be chosen, and the overload should be selected from a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power, where a "direct-online starter" uses line power as control power, while "separate control voltage" refers to differing line and control voltages. If activation from an external switch is necessary, "remote start terminals" can be added, requiring confirmation of voltage compatibility. The kit includes features such as a 38A capacity, 1-phase configuration, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 29-35A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
