Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for use with motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. When selecting the appropriate starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor nameplate at the supplied input voltage, confirming whether the motor is powered by 1-phase or 3-phase electricity, and opting for a starter rated for current (amps) above the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must also be specified, along with selecting an overload current range that accommodates the FLA. The starter can further be customized based on electrical requirements such as incoming power configuration: a "direct-online starter" if line power is used as control power, "separate control voltage" if different from line voltage, and the inclusion of "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. Features of these starters include a 52A 3-phase separate coil voltage, a reset button, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and a 25-33A overload rating, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
