Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Next, choose the control power used to close the contactor, followed by selecting the overload by picking a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. The selection can be further refined based on optional criteria such as incoming power configuration, which may be "direct-online starter" if the line power will be used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. The starter may also include remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The kit includes features such as a 52A rating, three-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 44-53A.
