Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor, and choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. Choose the control power used to close the contactor and select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The incoming power can either be "direct-online" if the line power is used as the control power or "separate control voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage. Additionally, if the starter needs to be activated from an external switch, terminals can be added to accept control power input from that switch, referred to as "remote start terminals." If different voltages are used for line power and control power, it is considered "separate control voltage + remote start terminals." The key features include a 52A 1 phase direct online start/stop, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 44-53A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
