Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm if it is single phase or three phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The available options include a direct-online starter if the line power will also serve as the control power, or separate control voltage if the control voltage differs. The starters can also accommodate remote start terminals for activation from an external switch, and if using different voltages for line and control power, it will include separate control voltage with remote start terminals. The key features of the motor starter include 65A capacity, 3 phase operation, separate control voltage, start/stop functionality, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 36-47A overload relay.
