Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the supplied input voltage, ensuring to identify if it operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA, select the control power for closing the contactor, and then choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. Additionally, select between options such as Direct-On-Line starter for the same line and control voltage, Separate Control Voltage for differing voltages, and Remote Start Terminals for activation from an external switch. The motor starter features include a 65A rating, 3-phase operation, Direct Online Start/Stop functionality, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 36-47A overload capacity, all housed in a durable NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
