Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your application, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the supplied input voltage, confirming whether the power is 1-phase or 3-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) that exceeds the FLA of your motor, and select the appropriate control power used to close the contactor. The overload must be chosen from a current range that includes the motor FLA. Options include a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or configurations with remote start terminals for external activation. This specific kit features a rating of 52A, is designed for 1-phase operation with a separate coil voltage, includes a reset button, and supports a 100-250V AC/DC coil with a 30-40A overload. The NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure ensures protection in demanding environments.
