Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring you confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations, such as "Direct-On-Line Starter" if line power is also used as control power, "Separate Control Voltage" if the control voltage differs from the line voltage, or "Remote Start Terminals" if activation from an external switch is needed. Additionally, for configurations combining different voltages for line power and control power, options include "Separate Control Voltage + Remote Start Terminals." This specific model features 65A, 3-phase operation, a separate coil voltage, start/stop functionality, a 250-500V AC/DC coil rating, 44-53A overload relay, and is enclosed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate housing.
