Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for motors up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage while confirming whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Opt for a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA. The control power for closing the contactor must also be chosen, along with an overload that covers the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power type, whether a direct-online starter is required, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals. The features of this starter include a current rating of 52A, 1 phase configuration, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 36-47A, all contained within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
