Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, ensuring to confirm whether the motor uses single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA of the motor. The control power used to close the contactor must also be selected, followed by choosing the overload by selecting a current range that includes the motor's FLA. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power—direct-on-line if line power is also used as control power, or separate control voltage if they differ. For external switch activation, remote start terminals are added to accept control power inputs, with considerations for different line and control voltages if applicable. The features include a 65A three-phase direct online start/stop capability, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 57-67A overload rating, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
