Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60 HP or 80 A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, and ensure it matches the required single-phase or three-phase power. Select a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor, determine the control power for closing the contactor, and choose the overload based on a current range that encompasses the FLA. The selection process includes options for incoming power, distinguishing between "direct-online starter" if the line power is used as control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. Additional options include "remote start terminals" for activation from an external switch, and configurations for "separate control voltage + remote start terminals" if differing line and control voltages are used. The starter features include a 65 A rating, 3-phase compatibility, remote start terminals, a reset button, a 100-250 V AC/DC coil, a 36-47 A overload range, and a robust NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
