Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters capable of handling up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, ensuring to confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, and select the control power used to close the contactor. Choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the motor’s FLA. Optional criteria include the incoming power type, where "direct-online starter" indicates line power is used as the control power, while "separate control voltage" indicates the control voltage differs from the line voltage. If the starter is activated from an external switch, it can include remote start terminals for control power input. The features of this particular model include 65A, three-phase capability, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and overload protection of 57-67A, all within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
