Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current higher than the FLA. Control power must be chosen to close the contactor, and the overload must be selected within a current range that includes the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power specifications, such as "direct-online starter" for same line and control voltage, "separate control voltage" for differing voltages, and "remote start terminals" for external switch activation with the assumption that line and control voltages are the same. The featured model includes specifications of 65A, 3-phase, with separate coil voltage and remote start terminals, a reset button, and a coil voltage range of 100-250V AC/DC, along with a 50-60A overload relay in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
