Choose a starter rated for current higher than the motor's FLA, then select the control power for closing the contactor and the overload relay based on a current range that encompasses the FLA identified. Additional selection criteria include choosing between a direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals if external activation is needed.
