Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage supplied, ensuring to confirm whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor. The control power must be selected to close the contactor, and the overload should be chosen from a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include the type of incoming power, which may involve a "direct-online starter" or a "separate control voltage" if the line voltage differs from the control voltage. For activation from an external switch, remote start terminals can be added, with considerations for voltage compatibility. This specific model features a 65A capacity, 1-phase operation, remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 36-47A, housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
