Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage and confirm if it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. Then select the control power for closing the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA of the motor. For additional selection criteria, consider whether the line power will be used as control power, which is referred to as a "direct-online starter", or if separate control voltage is required. If activation occurs from an external switch, terminals can be added for this input, referred to as "remote start terminals". The specific model features include 65A rating, single-phase operation, separate coil voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button only, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and a 36-47A overload range, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
