Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters with a capacity of up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, it is essential to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage supplied, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power. The chosen starter must be rated for a current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor. Additionally, the control power used to close the contactor must be selected, followed by choosing the overload by selecting a current range that includes the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria for selection include the type of incoming power, with configurations available for direct-online starters, separate control voltage, and options for remote start terminals. The starters feature 80A capacity, 3-phase functionality, separate coil voltage options, start/stop capabilities, a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay range of 75-87A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
