Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To properly select the starter for your needs, first, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Ensure you identify whether the power supply is single-phase or three-phase. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the appropriate control power for closing the contactor, and then select the overload by choosing a current range that contains the FLA identified earlier. Additional options include incoming power choices, such as a "direct-online starter" when the line power is used as control power, or "separate control voltage" for different line and control voltages, with options for "remote start terminals" for activation by an external switch. This specific model features a 65A rating, is designed for 1-phase operation, includes remote start terminals, a start/stop function, operates on a 100-250V AC/DC coil, has a 36-47A overload, and features a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
