Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter for your requirements, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage you will supply, confirming whether it is 1-phase or 3-phase power to the motor. Choose a starter rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of your motor, select the control power used to close the contactor, and choose the overload by selecting a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. The options available include incoming power configurations such as direct-online starter, separate control voltage, or remote start terminals for activation from an external switch. The specific features of the kit include an 80A 3-phase separate coil voltage coupled with remote start terminals, a start/stop function, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload relay rated for 57-68A, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
