Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. The assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. The starter should be rated for current (amps) higher than the FLA of the motor, with options for control power selection, including a "direct-online starter" if line power is used for control, or "separate control voltage" if different. The overload must be chosen within a current range that contains the FLA of the motor. Optional criteria include remote start terminals for external switch activation and combinations of control voltage configurations. Technical specifications include features such as 80A capacity, 3-phase operation, a separate coil voltage with a reset button only, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and an overload range of 57-68A, all housed within a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
