Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters suitable for applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter for your requirements, first refer to the motor or equipment nameplate to verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage. Confirm whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power and choose a starter rated for a current higher than the FLA. Next, select the control power used to close the contactor and choose the overload by selecting a current range that encompasses the FLA. Optional criteria for selection include incoming power configurations: "direct-on-line starter" for the same control and line power, "separate control voltage" if they differ, and options for "remote start terminals" for external switch activation. The featured model offers an 80A capacity, 3-phase operation, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a 24-60V AC/DC coil, and a 57-68A overload relay, all housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
