Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed for motors up to 60HP or 80A. These assembled motor starters include a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. The selection process involves verifying the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring the power type is identified as either 1-phase or 3-phase. The starter should be rated for current higher than the motor's FLA. Control power options include using the line power directly ("direct-online starter") or specifying a different control voltage ("separate control voltage").
