Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters designed to support applications up to 60HP or 80A. Each assembled motor starter features a contactor, an overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, users should first verify the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, noting whether the motor operates on 1-phase or 3-phase power. It is crucial to choose a starter rated for current (amps) exceeding the motor's FLA. Additionally, users must select the control power for the contactor and choose an overload that includes the motor's FLA within its current range. Optional criteria to consider include the incoming power configuration—direct-online starter if the line power also serves as control power, or separate control voltage if the line and control voltages differ. Starters can be equipped with remote start terminals for external switch activation, with configurations available for both same and different line and control voltages. The motor starters feature an 80A rating, support 3-phase configurations, include remote start terminals, provide start/stop functionality, operate on a 100-250V AC/DC coil, and have a 75-87A overload range. The product is housed in a NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure, ensuring durability and protection in various environments.
