Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, first confirm the full load amperage (FLA) from the motor or equipment nameplate at the input voltage, ensuring to identify whether it is a 1-phase or 3-phase system, and choose a starter with a current rating higher than the FLA. Next, select the control power for the contactor and the overload by choosing a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. Optional selection criteria include choosing between a "direct-online starter" if the line power is the same as the control power, or "separate control voltage" if they differ. For activation from an external switch, options for remote start terminals are available. This specific model features an 80A rating, 1-phase operation, separate control voltage with remote start terminals, a reset button, a coil voltage range of 24-60V AC/DC, and an overload relay rated for 48-60A.
