Springer Controls manufactures a complete line of IEC enclosed AC motor starters up to 60HP or 80A. Assembled motor starters consist of a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the proper starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) at the input voltage from the motor or equipment nameplate, ensuring to confirm whether it is single-phase or three-phase power. Choose a starter rated for currents higher than the FLA. The control power used to close the contactor and the overload must be selected based on a current range that contains the FLA. Options available include direct-online starter configurations, separate control voltage, and remote start terminals for external switch activation. Key features include an 80A rating, three-phase capability, separate coil voltage, reset button only, a 250-500V AC/DC coil, and overload ratings of 65-78A, in addition to the NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure.
