Each assembled motor starter includes a contactor, overload relay, and a NEMA 4X rated polycarbonate enclosure. To select the appropriate starter, verify the full load amperage (FLA) on the motor nameplate at the input voltage and determine if the motor operates on single-phase or three-phase power, ensuring the starter rating exceeds the FLA. Choose the control power for closing the contactor and select an overload relay with a current range that encompasses the motor's FLA. The starters are available with options such as direct-online starter configurations where line power is also used as control power, separate control voltage options, and remote start terminals for activation from an external switch.
