This top-of-the-line spectrophotometer can perform not only UV-Vis readings in the range of 200-800nm but also fluorescence readings. The SmartDrop™ XF features predefined programs for nucleic acids, proteins, and various colorimetric assays, utilizing a patented motorized system that gently stretches the sample column and allows for three different path lengths, providing accurate readings of samples from 0.5 to 2.0L without dilution. The integrated fluorometer enhances quantitation accuracy, sensitivity, and selectivity of nucleic acids, with the blue light channel (460nm) suitable for detecting dyes such as PicoGreen, RiboGreen, GFP, and fluorescein. UV, green, and red channel models are available upon request. The Accuris SmartDrop™ series offers quick and easy quantification of small samples, eliminating the need for dilutions to ensure more accurate results. A full-color 7" touchscreen with icon-driven menus and preprogrammed protocols facilitates rapid user onboarding without the need for an external computer. Each unit includes a quartz pedestal for sample placement, where a drop is stretched into a liquid column for spectral analysis, displaying DNA, RNA, and protein concentrations and purity numbers in seconds. Data can be printed, saved in the SmartDrop™'s onboard memory, or exported via USB as an Excel file. All models come equipped with an integrated printer and include a cuvette port with two optical glass cuvettes for OD600 readings. The device features full-spectrum absorbance scanning and calculations of 260/280 and 260/230 ratios, a long-life xenon lamp with precision monochromator, and auto-ranging path lengths of 0.05m.
