Hallowell® Hi-Tech shelving is engineered for rapid and straightforward assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with varying capacities in medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves. Constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, the shelving kit includes 8 adjustable shelves, each formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, and stamped on the top left corner for easy identification. The Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, which includes roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. The welds are spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. Each of the four corners is lapped and resistance welded to provide a rigid structure, adding additional strength. The top surface is pre-punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers from left to right for shelves measuring 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is specifically designed to withstand impact loads. This shelving is suitable for uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
