Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles. The shelving system features medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to meet various shelving capacity requirements. The Class 2 shelves are fabricated from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, incorporating roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, which are resistance welded to the underside of the shelf. Welds are spaced 3" on center for maximum strength, while the sides are triple flanged to form a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure rigidity and enhanced strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are punched for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, accommodating uniformly distributed loads of up to 1,200 pounds.
