Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, featuring both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves are made from cold rolled sheet steel and feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends, resistance welded to the underside for enhanced durability. Welds are spaced 3" on center to maximize strength, and the sides are triple flanged to create a channel. All four corners are lapped and resistance welded to add extra strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. Additionally, front and rear surfaces are designed for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads, making these shelves suitable for uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
