Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is engineered for rapid assembly and installation, offering a selection of open and closed styles with shelf capacities ranging from medium to extra heavy duty to accommodate specific shelving needs. The shelves are constructed from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel, featuring roll-formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, enhancing strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity. The top surface is perforated for attaching shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep, while other sizes utilize 3" center punchings. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are designed for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is crafted to withstand impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
