Hallowell® Hi-Tech free standing shelving is designed for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves to accommodate various shelving capacity requirements. The shelves feature two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 2 shelves are made from extra heavy gauge cold rolled sheet steel with roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges that have return bends resistance welded to the underside, maintaining maximum strength with welds spaced 3" on center. The sides are triple flanged to create a channel, and all four corners are lapped and resistance welded to ensure rigidity and additional strength. The top surface is punctured to facilitate the attachment of shelf dividers on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, while all other sizes are punched on 3" centers. The front and rear surfaces are also punctured for attaching accessories, and the tubular front edge is designed for protection against impact loads. This shelving is rated for uniformly distributed loads up to 1,200 pounds.
