Hallowell® Hi-Tech® free standing shelving features a robust design for fast and easy assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves tailored to meet specific shelving capacity requirements. The adjustable medium duty shelves are formed with two ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges and are stamped on the top left corner for identification. Class 0 shelves, made from cold rolled sheet steel, feature roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with return bends that are resistance welded to the underside, with welds spaced 3" on center to ensure maximum strength. The sides are triple flanged to form a channel, while all four corners are lapped and resistance welded for added rigidity and strength. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers from left to right on 1-1/2" centers for 36" wide x 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep shelves, with all other sizes punched on 3" centers. Additionally, the front and rear surfaces are punched for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge is designed to protect against impact loads, supporting uniformly distributed loads up to 400 pounds.
