Hallowell® Hi-Tech® starter unit metal shelving with sway braces is specifically engineered for rapid assembly and installation, available in both open and closed styles with varying weight capacities, including medium, heavy, and extra heavy duty shelves. The adjustable medium duty shelves feature two formed ribs along the horizontal front and rear edges, with identification stamped on the top left corner. Class 0 shelves are constructed from cold rolled sheet steel, incorporating roll formed rectangular tubular shaped front and rear edges with resistance welded return bends on the underside for added strength. Welds are positioned 3" on center to maximize durability, while triple flanged sides create a channel for stability. Each of the four corners is lapped and resistance welded, enhancing the shelf's structural integrity. The top surface is punched for attaching shelf dividers at 1-1/2" centers on the front and back for shelves measuring 36" wide by 12", 15", 18", and 24" deep; all other sizes feature 3" center punching. Both front and rear surfaces are designed with punch-outs for accessory attachment, and the tubular front edge provides protection against impact loads. This shelving unit is rated for uniformly distributed loads of up to 400 pounds.
